SundaySketchClub
Everyone sketches. Everyone models.
A free, drop-in figure-drawing hour for curious beginners and local artists. Bring your pen or pencil, pull up a chair, and make friends while you make art.
From past Sundays
Real sessions in the front room at Muse & Co.

How the hour runs
No sign-up, no instructor at the front — just a warm room, a few drills, and everyone taking a turn.
Bring your kit
A pen or pencil and paper — that’s it. We supply the chairs, the company, and a full tea and boba menu if you want one.
Warm up with drills
We run short, timed rounds built around gesture, timing, and perspective. Come loose or come rusty; the drills carry you.
Everyone takes a turn
Participants rotate as the clothed figure model, so everyone draws and everyone poses. Choose a comfortable pose and join in when you’re ready.
Upcoming Sundays
Reserve a free spot, or just walk in.
Tips for a better session
A few things that make the timed rounds click — whether it’s your first Sunday or your fiftieth.
Start with the gesture
Before any detail, catch the pose’s line of action in 20–30 seconds. It keeps the drawing alive.
Block the big shapes first
Rough in the head, ribcage, and pelvis as simple masses before you commit to a single edge.
Let the clock push you
Short rounds — one, two, five minutes — force decisions and train your eye faster than one long drawing.
Find the horizon
Note your eye level: everything above it recedes down, everything below rises up. That’s perspective in one move.
Measure with your pencil
Hold it at arm’s length to compare proportions. Head-lengths are the classic yardstick for the figure.
Be a generous model
Pick a pose you can hold, weight on one leg for a natural read. A strong silhouette is a gift to the room.
