Community means each other

Learn together. Help each other.

Solved a tricky part? Look around and ask who’d like a hand. Need help? Look for someone a little further along and ask how they did it.

How we learn together

Wednesday Origami, Friday Community Art Class, and Sunday Sketch Club are community events. Look up from your own work and see how the people around you are doing. Everyone can be a learner and a helper.

Figured something out? Look around and offer a hand.: If you succeeded with a fold, technique, or tricky detail, see who might be working on that part. Ask, “Would you like a hand with this?” Share what worked for you and give them time to try it.
Stuck? Look for someone a little further along.: Ask, “Could you show me how you did that?” You do not have to figure everything out alone. Someone nearby may have just worked through the same challenge.
Take turns learning and helping.: You can help with one part and need a hand with another. Ask before stepping in, be patient, and encourage each other. We’re making things together.
